Roach is an independent short film of about 30 minutes.
It's fully realized with zero budget using only the abilities (and patience) of a young artists. It was born from our passion for science fiction, and in particular for Cyberpunk.
The project began in spring 2009 from an idea by Sergio Luca Loreni and Walter Perrone.
It strives to create action and visual effects inspired by great works of the cyberpunk
world such as Akira, Ghost in the Shell, Blade Runner, Johnny Mnemonic.
The story of R.O.A.C.H. is set in a not too distant future
and it is composed of several intertwined stories
occurring at the same time.
It touches on issues of racial segregation, human
experiments and multinationals with an outsider's
perspective .
It simply aims to entertain the audience with a small
tribute to the genre, in a world where nothing is
left but dreams in a test-tube ...
